description
I believe this is a beaver, but I don't know what it's doing here in the Calhoun Settling Pond (officially called the Southwest Lake Calhoun Wetlands Ponds). This is an isolated body of water that's across the parkway from Lake Calhoun. The animal submerged after I took this photo, and I've not seen it before or since.
