Minnehaha Creek zig-zags across south
Minneapolis all the way from the western
border with
Edina
to the
Mississippi River in the east.
It has a parkway with bike and walking paths
along the entire length, with lots of
quaint footbridges. Many streets have overpasses
that allow the footpath and creek to go under them.
The creek connects with Lake Harriet in southwest
Minneapolis, as well as Lake Nokomis and
Hiawatha to the east. It then heads
over Minnehaha Falls at Minnehaha Park before
entering the Mississippi.
