The Forbidden City, now officially renamed as the “Palace Museum,” cover about 720,000 square meters. It is listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO, and is the world’s largest palace complex. The stone flooring, as seen in the photo, was made to accommodate thousands of people especially during special Chinese occasions.
