description
You are standing on the northwest corner of 43rd and Upton, looking southeast. You can see the silver dome of the Lake Harriet Community Church at the top of the photo. It's the summer of 1999, and this picture was taken with a digital camera. There are shops lining the streets east, west, and south of here. I consider this to be downtown Linden Hills. From left to right there is a gardening store, bike shop, butcher, Creative Kidstuff, Bibelot shop, and Sebastian Joe's. There is a bread store, hardware store, Cafe, and gift shop on the right-hand side of the street we're looking at(Upton Avenue). Next we will look at this same scene in winter, standing a little closer.
