description
This is F Street and 19th Street, looking east towards the old Federal Office building. F Street is barricaded due to a sudden expansion in street closings (from 4 enclosed blocks to roughly 30). This is in anticipation of World Bank and IMF-related protests.
I saw lots of cops, no protesters, and I couldn't get to the now-barricaded Corcoran Gallery at E Street and 17th. Two days earlier, 17 journalists were detained along with 600 protesters at Freedom Plaza.
