The Tiverton House is a hotel that's open to the public, running around $100 per night and located at Tiverton and Le Conte, right across the street from UCLA Medical Center. It's run by UCLA, who uses it as a residence for out-of-town patients. These may be cancer patients or others seeking aggressive medical treatment.
This is where my brother stayed before his stem cell transplant, when he was going to appointments for pheresis (the harvesting of the stem cells to be returned later). He stayed her for two weeks after discharge, while he regained enough strength to return home. links
