Went here often in the early 1960s, prior to graduation from the U of M. Among those met here was John Berryman, poet and prof before his untimely death by jumping off the Washington Ave Bridge.

Greatest bar ever. Saw Dave and Tommy Ray here and many others many times. 1967-1974.

My great-great grandfather Peter Hansen was original owner of the Triangle Bar when it was known as the Little Dandy in the late 1890's. Does anybody have any historical information that would help me with my genealogy? Stories would be great additions.

When I was in high school, I started working at the original New Riverside Cafe across the street from here, and I lived for a time upstairs, in the Catherine Apts. I used to hang around the door of the Triangle to hear the Willie & the Bumblebees, Dave Ray, Roy Alstad, and lots more blues. Sweet memories.......

In addition to the folkies, I'm told Lazy Bill Lucas, Mojo Buford, Sonny Rodgers and the other original godfathers of the MN blues used to hold court here.
