description

This is the atrium in St.Anthony Main. This shopping center is housed in rehabbed buildings from the turn of the century, which have been joined together inside to form a sort of indoor strip-mall. I believe it's changed substantially over the years, but I haven't visited often enough to say what's different. Riverplace, to the north, came along later.

Riverplace has changed over the years. All the shops that first opened in the mid 80's are closed and either vacant space or offices use up the space where they were once present. I know that I, as a fan of the complex would like to see Riverplace flourish as it once did and from what I hear that may happen in the near future. : )

I used to work at Riverplace in all of it's splender. It was soooo beautiful, just like in the pic. It has since been turned into an ugly, closed up (no sunlight), boring office building. There is one spiral staircase in an open area, but it's for a catering business. I wonder if the staircase is where the elevators (in pic) used to be. What a loss to us all!! I pray they do restore it as many of us know it to be...Riverplace.

I work in the Riverplace building where the green elevator and bright atrium still exist today. The building is not a closed up office building as the above lady said, but a very bright office complex. I wish I could have seen it in its glory days, but I know it only in its current state and love the feeling of the Exhibition Hall portion of the building.
