This is the courtyard next to Pratt Community Center during the 2002 Pratt Ice Cream Social. There were several Somali children running the cake walk, which is happening in the background on the left. The Witch's Hat water tower has been opened for this event, so there are people on it's observation deck.

The Ice Cream Social was THE kid event in the neghborhood each year. If you were a student at Pratt or Marcy and in Mr Prosser's band, you played a gig in your navy skirt or slacks and white shirt. Your 25 cent admission ticket entitled you to one of those little plastic cups of ice cream that you eat with a tiny wooden paddle. Everyone's Mom had to bring a cake, I think.
