Description

This is the front of the Minneapolis Technical Training Academy (MTTA) during construction. I photographed the facility for the organization's director, Keith Hammond. It folded shortly after opening when the school district canceled their contract with the school.

This was a contract alternative school with a focus on technology. It had new SUN terminal with flat panel monitors at every desk. According to the Star Tribune, many vendors were unpaid and withholding taxes for teachers were not paid. The high school was evicted from this facility. The director was accused of check fraud and it was discovered he was on probation for theft by swindle. (date: 2001-07-05)
