You are looking northeast towards Hennepin Avenue and 5th Street South. The large stone building is the Lumber Exchange building, over 100 years old.

    Quite the beast of a building. The 'brown fortress' was originally a very long and narrow building with a small facade facing Hennepin (left side in the picture) That explains why there are two front entrances right next to each other. It was expanded three or four time and it also survived a fire. It will be around another 100 if we leave it be.
