description

This view is looking east from 6th and Nicollet. The two skyways at bottom frame connect Gaviidae shopping center. The Wells Fargo Tower is on the right, US Bank Place is in the background at center frame, and Dain Plaza is on the left.

It's very uncommon to have two levels of skyways, like appear in this photo.

Cesar Pelli's Norwest (Wells Fargo) building, besides the hancock building in Boston, is probably one of my most favorite art deco buildings around. The interior in the lobby is also well designed.
Most people don't realize that Minneapolis's skyline is designed by some of the biggest names in Architecture. I.M. Pei, Phillip Johnson, Frank Gehry, etc. A beautifully. Each building in downtown minneapolis is polished, while some of the builidings in Chicago or New York seem experiemental or whithered with age, Minneapolis's buildings exude a kind of vibrance.
