This is the Tomb of the Unkowns, on the grounds of Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. The sentinel on the left is from the Third U.S. Infantry; a vigil is maintained here around the clock.
The marble tomb holds the remains of an unknown soldier from World War I. Under the white slabs are unknow dead from World War II, Korea and Vietnam. links
