I LIKED IT BEFORE WHEN YOU WOULD PUT THE BANDS APPEARING ON YOUR WEB SITE!! COULD YOU DO THAT AGAIN???

  • feedback, Jacksonville, Florida -- 2007-09-17

I've been feeding grey squirrels for years. Recently a few of them look awful. All the fur around their neck area is gone. They appears to have large "sores" all over their bodies and things that look like "tumors". Does anyone have an idea what this is? They seem to be more hungry than normal and don't move as fast as they used to. It doesn't appear to be mange.

  • feedback, ma -- 2007-09-03

American Indians have a very beautiful heritage, I was disappointed that you did not have any better pictures than you did.

I enjoyed the photos of Manila and Hong Kong, two cities i have recently travelled in. Must admit, I was too afraid to pull my camera out in some parts of Manila that I explored. I experienced firsthand the things Chris documented: begging chidren, squatters on train tracks, lackadaisical securioty guards with shotguns in front of the banks all day. Still, the people persist in a mostly carefree attitude that was in some ways more pleasant than the attitude in the more affluent capitals like Hong Kong or Tokyo. I wish you luck selling your photos!

  • Stephanie Dillard Philadelphia PA -- 2006-01-05

I grew up in St. Paul and moved to Philadelphia PA in 1997. I will be going with my husband and family to visit on March 17th and your website made me so excited and homesick! This is the first time since I left that I will be going back. I didn't realize how much I missed it until now! Thanks for giving me the chance to show my husband how wonderful my home is!

  • Craig Minneapolis -- 2005-11-08

I really love your webpage, I have for years, but I miss the days when this site was dedicated to Minneapolis and Minneapolis only.
Now that the focus has shifted more to photos of other cities and as well as places in Asia, I think the general essence of your website is lost. Now when I view your front page, I no longer feel that this is a phototour of Minneapolis.
Perhaps you should make a smaller and more subdued section for photos that don't pertain to Minneapolis, as this city is, in fact what this site is all about, right?

  • Barry Remington Calimesa California -- 2005-10-27

Chris, I haven't been in MN for 40 yrs! And then, for only 4 yrs from age 8-11. Lived in Medicine Lake, but remember so much about the area. One day, hope to visit again. Thanks for the walk thru Minneapolis!

I love your site. I too am a Twin Cities native and it just reminds me of why I call this place home. When I'm out of town I pull up this website for friends who have never visited the Twin Cities and they get jealous and/or really want to visit/live here!

  • Patrick Saint Paul, MN -- 2004-08-11

Would you include a nice photo of Kafé 421 (www.Kafe421.com) as one of the Dinkytown, Minneapolis, images (at no charge)?
Kafé 421 is celebrating its first anniversary during August 2004.
    Thanks,
    Patrick,

Thank God I found this website, my son is in Korea and I was going to visit him and I found airfare on this site to be at least $100.00 cheaper so I was going to book it. After reading all of the postings, I am going to go to a travel agent and forget this Hotwire forever. They should be put out of business or at least fire their staff and get people who are not rude and arrogant. Shame on you HOTWIRE.

http://www.phototour.minneapolis.mn.us/2178 is neither a stargazer or a tiger lily. It looks closer to Tiger Babies but I don't think that's it either.
    http://photo.danen.org/go/lily/as_tiger_babies.shtml and
http://photo.danen.org/go/lily/ti_.shtml show Tiger Babies and tiger lilies respectively.
    Nice photo, though. :-)

  • Jon International Falls, Minnesota -- 2004-07-25

Wow. I haven't lived in Mpls. now for a couple yrs, but these photos bring back a LOT of memories, esp. of where I lived (downtown) and where I would always walk (uptown)!

  • kim boca raton,florida -- 2004-07-23

The site was filled with valuable information. I plan to move to Minnesota in one year. Thank you for your photos. It made my curiosity about moving a lot easier. I have to decide on a city, so I'm sure I will visit your site again. Thank you

  • Frode Alm Drammen, Norway -- 2004-07-22

Fantastic website! I have relatives in Minneapolis, whom I visited in 1982 (Edina). I have been searching for websites with photos for years until I found yours. Minneapolis is sort of "my town" in the US.
    Sincerely,
    Frode Alm

  • Catherine Phoenix AZ -- 2004-07-16

I lived for 40 years in So. Mpls.(Lake Harriet area) Now am in Phoenix. I LOVE this sight! When I miss home I always have these beautiful pictures to look at. Thank-you for having this wonderful website!

  • Loukia Athens, Greece -- 2004-07-08

Hello. I was just enjoying visiting your site for the first time. I was born in Minneapolis and lived there for 7 years before I moved to Greece 2 years ago. I love that city and miss it and your site was a quick fix. Nice work. I am wondering if images can be used as desktop wall paper.

  • Jill Slade Hillsdale, MIchigan -- 2004-07-03

Fab, absolutely fab site, just found out one of my relatives is burried here and you cant imagine what it's like to be able to see the pictures of what a wonderful kept place lakewood is.

  • Rena Cowan Aurora Indiana -- 2004-07-02

Thank you ever so much!!! I had just backed out of their web-site after jotting down lots of money saving deals so that I could go over them with the husband. Then, I decided to go further down the search page and check other things out. I saw this website and said to myself I should check it out. After reading all those complaints, Ican't thank you enough. I'll go through another door thank you very much. I'd hate to have to hurt someone over a screwed up wedding. Take it easy, but not hotwire cheap EH!!!!

  • Karen M. Surrey, BC Canada -- 2004-06-23

Was definitely looking into acquiring a "deal" on Hotwire; but am very grateful to all who left their experiences for those of us who have not yet dealt with this site- thank you so much and will look elsewhere!! Thanks again!!

  • Xin LI -- 2004-06-18

  • Michele formerly, Mpls. -- 2004-05-25

Phabulous photos. Thanks for the visual trip. Made me feel as if I were home again. But please note: the "Rich and guarded path" photo is from Madison, not Mpls.

  • Marcus Wynne -- 2004-05-13

What a coincidence to run across your site and find that my Polish translator had used it as a resource! All three of my thriller novels (NO OTHER OPTION, WARRIOR IN THE SHADOWS, BROTHERS IN ARMS) are set in large part in the Linden Hills neighborhood where I lived for ten years. What a rush of nostalgia your beautiful photos brought back. Thanks for helping out in more ways than you know.
    cheers, Marcus

  • Maciej Poland -- 2004-05-09

Chris, I wonder if you ever expected your site to be useful in this way: I have just finished translating two American novels (both written by Marcus Wynne and set mostly in Minneapolis) to my native language and used your excellent pictures several times as means of... visualisation. It is sometimes difficult to imagine the places you write about, unless you have such a great source material. Thank you very, very much. DMAC

Is Hiawatha and Minnehaha a love story.

  • Sheila California -- 2004-04-24

I am trying to find some history-type info on South High School.
My grandmother went there and I have her yearbook from 1921.
It has made me curious for more information.
    Can you help?
    Thank you!

  • Mike New York, NY -- 2004-04-21

Just want to thank you so much for making this site what it is. I lived in Minneapolis for a brief period of time (1997-99) and looking at these pictures brings back a lot of memories, as there were a few shots in St. Anthony Falls where you captured a part of the Pinnacle apartments where I used to live. It's also interesting to see how much Minneapolis has changed since I left five years ago... who knew a parking lot opposite Target Center is now such a vibrant location for shopping and nightlife?! Thanks again!

  • Lyubo Georgiev Sofia Bulgaria -- 2004-04-18

    Hi,
All your photos are great. I had never imagined before thet minneapolis is such a beautiful city. If I have the chance once in my life to make a trip to america, minneapolis will be the first and the only place I'd like to visit.
    Greetings from Sofia
    Lyubo

  • Leslie Burnsville -- 2004-04-06

Sorry, Sola didn't live up to my expectations. Jamba Juice not only tastes better - their employees seem more educated on the products. I asked a couple of simple questions to one of your employees when placing my order and they weren't sure or didn't know the answers to my questions, nor did they ask any one else. I won't be returning on purpose again.

  • Patrick Boston -- 2004-03-16

We live in a great country with a lot of great cities. I very much enjoy the culture and unique atmosphere that different cities have to offer. But I always find myself comparing these places to the Twin Cities. Nowhere else on Earth will you find a city that offers such a harmonious blend of clenliness, natural and architectural beauty, recreation, culture, tranquility, and economic leadership.
I only lived in the city for the 4 years that I went to the U of M. Regardless, it is definately the place I call home. I don't know if my career will ever give me the opportunity to return, but I do know that for as long as I live, when people ask me where I am from, I will never hesitate to proudfully say "Minneapolis"

  • Paula Toronto,On -- 2004-03-11

Why don't you guys in Minneapolis tell the world what a wonderful city you have. I have always imagined that the only thing in Minneapolis is a super-sized mall and i'm no fan of any malls. Seeing aspects of your city that one would only know if they lived in it has been great. p.s. I hope the Sears bldg remains it has real grandeur and speaks eloquently of another era. I am sure future generations will love it.
