description

You are on one of the upper floors of the Walker Art Center, looking northeast toward Loring Park and the downtown skyline. This picture was taken through a window that one of the staff directed me to after I learned that the outdoor terrace was closed at the time. The next shot was taken from this same vantage point during a winter snowstorm, and much of the skyline is obscured by snow.

WOW! This photograph made an amazing desktop background for me (in 800x600res). I encourage all of you to try it out. Thanks for the beautiful pictures, webmaster!

Great Picture! The trees make a very nice contrast with the skyline.

Joe you are right the trees and the skyline do go together good and i love this picture along with many of these skyline pictures! The funny thing is people look at Minnesota as some sort of rural country place (don't get me wrong I know we have a decent amount of country side) but we rank 20 in population among the 50 states! I love the country and the city and Minnesota has both! Thank you for your skyline pics! They are wonderful!

I forgot to add the best thing about minneapolis is the people. The are a hell of a lot friendier that the folks on the East Coast...less jaded and more genuinely concearned about their neighbors

I really enjoyed your photos. I grew up in Boston and it is a great city with much to offer. But so is Minneapolis. Minneapolis doesn't get a lot of the credit and hype Like NYC, LA, Boston, or San Fran, and you should be glad. That is probably why it is rated the best major city in America for livability. Real estate prices has not gotten out of control...yet. Minneapolis is my favorite land locked U.S. city. I love visiting and might even relocate there somedy. If is beatiful, clean and safer than many large cities.

Your entire collection of photos was very well done and appreciated. My wife is from Aitkin (North of the twin cities) and we are considering a move there. It would be quite the change for me after always living in either New Mexico or here in Nevada. Your pics have allowed me to see a wide-range of areas I might not otherwise see. Thank you.

I used to work at the Starbucks on Loring Park about five years ago. It's a great city park. My wife and I are moving back to Minneapolis in a few months, and we have used this site to explore the city. What a great site!

This is the best downtown picture. This could be a great poster! I have never been to minneapolis, but I have heard it is a really relaxing place, with nice views and nice people. Good Bye!
