description

This picture was taken several years ago(around 1995?) with my first film camera. I'm including it in this site because this building is no longer standing. It was called the Conservatory. It was a unique, upscale mall decorated with marble, brass, plants, and water. Unfortunately, it was a failure commercially despite several changes in management. It was torn down, and the Piper Jaffrey/First Bank building stands there now.

This beautiful building was demolished for the new Piper Jaffrey(?) tower. My favorite restaurant Tejas was here but since has moved one block from our home. Progress.
