commentsDinzee Lexington, KY -- 2002-02-06 Went here often in the early 1960s, prior to graduation from the U of M. Among those met here was John Berryman, poet and prof before his untimely death by jumping off the Washington Ave Bridge. scott davis stpaul -- 2002-12-02 saw dave ray here in the late 60s. it was great until all the hippies started coming in from the burbs and the viking collected overflow bottom feeders lauritz minnesota -- 2004-02-18 now this building is a FREE alternative medicine clinic. far cry from the triangle bar. Chuck California -- 2004-05-08 66-67 this was the place to be...great entertainment and friendly crowd. Barbara Malone -- 2005-03-05 Greatest bar ever. Saw Dave and Tommy Ray here and many others many times. 1967-1974. Dawn CO -- 2005-04-16 My great-great grandfather Peter Hansen was original owner of the Triangle Bar when it was known as the Little Dandy in the late 1890's. Does anybody have any historical information that would help me with my genealogy? Stories would be great additions. eve macleish mn -- 2006-09-21 When I was in high school, I started working at the original New Riverside Cafe across the street from here, and I lived for a time upstairs, in the Catherine Apts. I used to hang around the door of the Triangle to hear the Willie & the Bumblebees, Dave Ray, Roy Alstad, and lots more blues. Sweet memories....... Bob -- 2006-10-05 In addition to the folkies, I'm told Lazy Bill Lucas, Mojo Buford, Sonny Rodgers and the other original godfathers of the MN blues used to hold court here.
