The air smells of delicious donuts for at least a two block radius of Mel-O-Glaze. It is unbelievable!

Hello! I was just thrilled to find this picture on the Internet, because around 1948, my Grandfather, Mr. Dean Kellar, started the Mel-O-Glaze Bakery. About 1950, my parents moved from Joplin, Mo. to St. Louis Park, Mn. and my Father and his brother went to work there. As a boy, I would go on the weekends and spend time at the Bakery, and I will tell you those are some mighty good memories!!!!! Thank you for both the picture, and letting me share some family history about it. If anyone has any comments, please do not hesitate to email me. Thank you, Bob

Once again, I would like to express my enjoyment on seeing this picture on the Internet. As I said before, my Grandfather started this Bakery and it is a treat to see it all the time. Thanks a lot!!!!!! Bob

This is a wonderful picture! I used to live on the other side of Lake Nokomis on 29th Ave and 50th St. I remember going to this bakery when I was a kid with my family. Thanks for the picture!
