Yes, it breaks our heart each time we see pictures like these, but this condition is not local to Manila, or Philippines in general. We saw similar scenes in NYC, in Athens, in Montreal, in Sao Paolo, and even in Frankfurt [we always thought Germans are well off]. Please do not dramatize it, as if poverty only happens in the Philippines. It's a global cancer.

I do agree with Mr Dorio, yes poverty does not only happen in the Philippines but also in other wealthy nations. England herself carry such poverty,mostly in the big cities such as London, Birmingham and Manchester, sad.
