description
This is Tower Grocery, at Bedford Street and Prospect Terrace. You are facing west, looking down Prospect Terrace on the right. University Avenue is behind you.
This corner grocery store has been in the neighborhood since before I can remember. linkscommentsDoug St Paul -- 2005-04-26 I always used to pass this old grocery store. If one is just going down University Ave., you will never see the beautiful neighborhood behind this grocery store -- you will just see the ugly KSTP building across the street and the Hwy 280 and I-94 intersection ahead. Gary Osgood -- 2006-08-20 Actually, you are looking UPHILL at Prospect Terr., Univ. Ave is to the right. Tower Grocery was Zipoy's Grocery for many years. Nancy Neumann Konawa, Ok. -- 2007-04-02 I lived 3114 4th st. and Iwas only 1 blk from here. I moved in79. gald to see it still there..... Greg Roth Minneapolis -- 2007-08-23 Gary is correct, that used to be Zipoy's Grocery.
