Neither the memories nor the recollection are easy after more than 30 years, but I know this one. Jefferson Elementary must be the old Jefferson Jr. High; I hope it's dust now.
The first head shop in Minneapolis was located in one of these storefronts ("What's a hashpipe?" "Bong??!"). The owner played the LP from "Hair" in the shop until it wore out, then put on another copy.

I used to live in the building in the background (2626 Hennepin). Oh, how I miss those carefree days in Uptown! Phoenix is soooo bland and boring compared to the beautiful and diverse Twin Cities.

Jefferson Elementary School still exists. It is a K-8 Spanish Immersion program. The Calhoun-Isles Community Band practices there Tuesday evenings, 7-9 p.m.
