I attended Sidney Pratt from 1950 to 1957, with a year off for first grade in Madison, Wisconsin. We read Dick and Jane in the early grades. I have many fond memories. The Madison schools were one year ahead in some areas. When I returned , I had to do some of the same work all over again. O-boy.
I remember being a "school patrol" at Franklin Ave and on University Ave. Hello to all Sidney Pratt alums.

Pratt was a K-8 school in the 1930's and 40's. Its students went to Marshall High starting in 9th grade. Marshall was a 7-12 school then. Students from Marcy, (the old one on 11th Avenue), Holmes, Tuttle, and Motley (all K-6) went to Marshall in 7th grade. Prospect Park had a much larger ice skating rink than Van Cleve Park.
