description
Two performers on stilts are operating the Elephant puppet, center, which is lumbering towards me as I took this picture. This is the lawn (and 24th Street) in front of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. A festival was being held here for the opening of a new bridge which carries 3rd Avenue across interstate 94 (part of a larger project called Avenue of the Arts). The bridge design was inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright's bridge drawings.
