This is the Witch's Hat water tower in Prospect Park. This view shows the observation deck at the top, which has people on it right now because it's been opened for the Pratt Ice Cream Social.

Imagine my surprise while searching for a photo of Lake Harriet and Minneapolis, to find a landmark in my old neighborhood. I went to Sidney Pratt Grade School and Prospect Park is still the most interesting neighborhood to me.My Mom just lives a few blocks from the "tower", So we do visit the area every year. Thanks for the great web-site and beautiful photos. Great job!

The view up here at Tower Park is great, even if you don't get to go up in the tower. You can see all of downtown and the U of M campus. There are also tennis courts at the park.
