Mpls is not known as being an urbane place. When I finally left, I feel like a missionary that must preach and inform others about the city I know.

Do you mean urban or urbane? Minneapolis is a dull place. While that intersection might look big city, the culture and pulse of Minneapolis is suburban. Where is the freneticism, excitement, subway, melange of retail, dining? Yawn. Yawn. Yawn.
