You are on Lake Street near 15th Avenue, looking north. This is the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theater. They put on puppet shows in this theater, and organize the annual May Day Parade and festival. There are photos of this festival on this site in the festivals category.

commentsmarshall memphis -- 2007-12-01 In the 1940's the top of the tower in the picure rotated. Also, I heard at the time that the women's restroom had a bidet.
