description
You are standing on Hennepin Avenue near between 10th and 11th Streets, looking northwest. This is a renovated, historic theater called "The Orpheum". It was opened by the Marx Bros. in the 30s. Minneapolis has a downtown theater district of sorts, which features another restored theater(The State, pictured next) and a smaller, modern professional theater("Hey City Theater"). The first two host touring Broadway plays, musical acts, and local benefits.

Great picture. Just wondering about your description. You noted that the theater was opened by the Marx Brothers in the 30s. However, I believe the theater opened in 1921 as silent movie and vaudeville house.
Did you mean to say that the Marx Brothers performed there in the 1930s? I'm only interested in this subject because my grandmother told me she saw Groucho at the Orpheum in the early 40s.
