This view is looking southeast from the Third Avenue Bridge. The downtown side(west bank) is to the right, the east bank is to the left. On the left side of the river, a subtle drop-off is visible. That is lower St.Anthony Falls, which is better viewed from the Stone Arch Bridge(visible at center frame).

The lane of water on the right is the entrance to the Upper St.Anthony Lock and Dam.
