You are looking east from First Avenue and 7th Street. Target Center is behind you and the First Avenue night club is out of frame to the right.

The parking lot across the street is "Block E". It was raised around 1987, but ground was broken for a new development in early 2001 (after this picture was taken), and the new development has been finished.

In the background on the far left is the Hennepin Center for the Arts, then the Plymouth Building, and the Dorsey and Whitney building being constructed. After that is the Multifoods Tower, the glassy Marriott Hotel, the Radisson Plaza Hotel, and IDS Tower on the far right. City Center is at lower-center-frame.
